How can you say that PS3 is a media centre, it’s first & foremost a games console, the fact that it’s a good media centre is just a bonus. I only use mine for games, & am more than happy with it. The old reason that there’s no games out there is no longer valid. Most of the current multiplatform games are so similar that the fanboy arguments about which is best are just nitpicking. As for exclusives – Killzone 2, Motorstorm & Motorstorm: PR, Little Big Planet, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Heavenly Sword, Metal Gear Solid 4, Lair (it’s apparently okay now they’ve patched the controls), with plenty of good stuff on the way – Infamous, Uncharted 2, Heavy Ran, MAG, God of War 3, the full Gran Turismo 5. These are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. Only a media centre indeed!!!

1080P, more 360 game boxes may state 1080, but that doesn’t mean they are native to that resolution, they could be upscaled, if a PS3 game says 720p it’s because that’s what it is natively, likewise 1080p, not that the human eye can tell the difference unless your on a 60″+ tv sitting 6 inches from it. Controllers – personal preference. I think the old PS3 controller missing the rumble was a downer, but the new DS3’s are solid weighty pieces of plastic, & it’s purely about what’s comfortable to use.

It’s been said by plenty of pro 360 folks that the 360 online is better (it should be), & I quote “you get what you pay for”, but in the same breath say the PS3 is too expensive. See your own logic.

While the 360 online may be better, I’d hardly describe the PS3 online as “rubbish”. As far as I can see all it’s missing is cross game chat. I don’t get any lag or connection problems, I can always find a game – Killzone 2 online is awesome.

As for graphics, I’d say the two are fairly similar, but Killzone 2 kinda proves a point, I know it’s been a long time in the making, but think of it this way – they say the PS3 is a lot more difficult to develop for, & it’s also been out a year less, surely that should mean it’s further behind in it’s life & potential. The PS3 only seems to suffer in multiplatform games that are developed on the 360 & ported across without due care & attention.

Oh, & did Nima say more reliable online games or more reliable – online games, because if anyone suggests for a second that the 360 is more reliable than the PS3 they need their head examining. Microsoft say they’ve sorted out the RROD, but that’s not what I’ve been told recently by staff at Game (UK Store) that say they are still getting 360’s back daily (Falcons & Jaspers included) + what about E74, & the dreaded noisy DVD drive that runs rings on discs if you walk around the room while the console is on (was on Watchdog recently & Microsoft are denying that it’s their fault even facing scientific evidence & mounting complaints).

Finally, the PS3 is a neater solution, there’s 1 wire to the power, & 1 wire to the telly (when you’re not charging the controller, but I can do that off my other half’s Wii, or the PC anyway). The main unit might be slightly larger, but due to it all being in the one box, & no brick for a power supply it actually takes up less space.

I’m not suggesting the 360 is a bad console, but have some perspective when putting the PS3 down, it’s a damn fine piece of equipment with some really good games out & on the way.
