Age of Conan is being released on the 20th of this month and I must resist. I am a sucker for new Massively Multiplayer Online Games, and this one has been hyped so much. I have had access to the beta for a while now, and I still can’t completely talk about the game, as the NDA is still active for all content over level 13. I can’t think of any recent MMOG that had their NDA all the way up to release, and I especially can’t think of one that kept their NDA up close to release that was good. 

Now, the game certanly has potential, but there are a lot of bugs and balance issues. But, but, but, it’s a new MMOG. Even though I know I shouldnt, I am very tempted to rush out and grab a copy at release.

A few of the common problems associated with the game are multiple memory leaks, horrible performance on what seems like random machines, unbalanced classes, and multitudes of graphics glitches. And thats only the more polished area up to level 13. Now, having said that I do see that the game could be really fun, but I just feel it should have been left to “cook” in beta for a few more months. My main problem is trying to hold myself back from buying it at release, cause I am a sucker for new MMOGs.
